Minneapolis Star-Tribune: Abortion Curbs Have Democrats in Dilemma
Posted by Brian in Uncategorized on November 12, 2009
“Pro-life Democrats with resolve have brought a ‘tar baby’ to the Democrat’s Healthcare debate. Congressman Bart Stupak was willing to risk his career in facing down Speaker Pelosi, and it was the Speaker who blinked.
Now the Democrats find themselves with a bill that many radical, pro-abortion members of their party cannot stomach.

Why the fuss on Obamacare and Abortion Funding?
Posted by Mike Spence in Uncategorized on September 29, 2009
In the Health Care debate one issue always seems to bubble to the top.
Abortion funding.
Why is the abortion funding so important?
A June 2009 Guttmacher Institute (a pro-abortion research arm) commissioned a study that found that one in 4 that would seek a taxpayer-funded abortion don’t have one if funding is unavailable.
On August 19, 2009 — In a conference call with supporters, President Obama said that it is a “fabrication” to say that the legislation backed by the White House would result in “government funding of abortions,” and that this is “untrue.”
The President and his surrogates have continued that line.
Several weeks after his initial remarks, the house adopted the Capps amendment.
The committee, 30 – 28, approved it narrowly with most but not all Democrats voting in favor and no Republicans backing it.
The Capps amendment states that some abortions “shall” be covered by the “public option” plan, specifically those types of abortions that Congress allows to be covered under Medicaid, under the so-called “Hyde Amendment,” which has been attached regularly to appropriations bills for many years. These are abortions performed in cases or rape or incest, or to save the life of the mother.
As for other types of abortions, the Capps amendment leaves it to the secretary of Health and Human Services to decide whether or not they will be covered. It says, “Nothing in this Act shall be construed as preventing the public health insurance option from providing” abortion services that would not be legal for Medicaid coverage.
The Capps Amendment MANDATES that the public plan cover any Medicaid-fundable abortions, and AUTHORIZES the secretary to cover all other abortions. From day one, she [Secretary Kathleen Sebelius] is authorized to pay for them all. “
While running for President Barack Obama told Planned Parenthood “In my mind, Reproductive care is essential care. It is basic care, and so it is at the center and at the heart of the plan that I propose.” He stated that, “What we’re doing is to say that we’re gonna set up a public plan that all persons and all women can access if they don’t have health insurance. It’ll be a plan that will provide all essential services, including reproductive services.”
The record on Life for this administration is clear. The president overturned the prohibition on taxpayer funding being used to support the abortion industry overseas, reaffirmed support for the tragic Roe vs. Wade decision and appointed dozens of pro-abortion activists and lawmakers to key posts in his administration.
One of them is the Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, who as a Governor vetoed a ban on late term abortions.
The House bill gives HER the power to decide about abortion funding.
Finally there is one way to know for sure that abortion is provided for in the Health care bill. The amendments to specifically exclude it were defeated.
On July 30, Rep. Joseph Pitts (R-PA), with co-sponsors Reps. Stupak and Roy Blunt (R-MO), offered an amendment that excluded any mandate for abortion coverage, except to save the mother’s life and in cases of rape or incest. At first the Pitts amendment passed, 31-yes, 27-no. Rep. Waxman moved to reconsider the vote. On the second vote, the Pitts Amendment failed, 29-yes, 30-no.
Rep. Stupak, with co-sponsor Rep. Pitts, offered an amendment specifying that no funds authorized by the Act may be used to pay for any abortion or cover the costs of any health plan that includes coverage for abortion, except to save the mother’s life or in cases of rape or incest. The Stupak amendment failed, 27-yes, 31-no.
If funding and subsidies aren’t in the plan, why won’t Congress vote to say just that?

The culture of Death, and money saving measures have been used and will only be used more as the government restructures who they are going to help.
This article from England explains how the health-care system there intentionally hides their actions from loved ones.
Are you ready for what’s coming?
Did you hear the one about Obama and the Rabbis?
Posted by Brian in Uncategorized on August 20, 2009
So the President gets on the phone with a bunch of Rabbis. He tosses some Hebrew greetings. He then tells them the purpose of his call, “Government partners with God in Life and Death decisions.”
Not a joke.
No cuts for the Machinery of Death!

Why would the Governor release 17,000 criminals, cut back every state agency, reduce every state expenditure, except for the funds that flow to the abortion industry?
Perhaps it’s because of the Kennedy that secretly controls his policies behind the scenes. (No not THAT Kennedy!) Susan Kennedy, his Chief of Staff, is actually a long-time abortion activist. She is former Cabinet Secretary for Gray Davis, Communications Director for Diane Feinstein, Director of the California Democrat Party, and Director of California Abortion Rights Action League! So who is really making the decisions in this administration?
The budget impasse is not finished and will likely be re-visited in October.
Send the Gubernator a message, stop funding the machinery of Death! Sign our Petition to the Governor today! And tell others to as well! Killing babies before they are born is not a way to “help the future.” He needs to get us out of this science fiction run by ideological radicals like Susan Kennedy.

Susan Kennedy, Democrat pro-abortion agitator, and Arnie's decision maker.
19 Pro-Life Democrats Oppose Obama Care With Abortion In It
Posted by Mike Spence in Uncategorized on July 1, 2009
Nineteen Congressional Democrats have signed a letter declaring opposition to a national health care plan mandate that includes abortion directly or indirectly.
Part of the letter states:
“We cannot support any health care reform proposal unless it explicitly excludes abortion from the scope of any government-defined or subsidized health insurance plan,”
It is a start.
Oh Brave New World – again

Under "reform" certain people are "more equal" than others
Obama care revealed! Powerful and bold testimony! (Click this link!)
Watch this powerful expose of the Obama health experts. In particular Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel a ‘bio-ethicist’ (yes, and Rahm’s brother) who is seeking to implement targeted rationing against those “no longer worthy of life.”
A bold historian reminds these aparats of “life control’ that they are repeating history, and we will not forget! Please watch!
Nixon, Margaret Sanger and Racism

I couldn’t help but notice the articles about more tapes of former President Richard m. Nixon being released to the public. One little tidbit in there showed me hoe deep the Eugenics movement has penetrated the thought process of Americans.
In the tape, on the day after the notorious Roe vs. Wade decision. Nixon revelaed his oppostion to abortion EXCEPT in the cases of inter-racial babies and rape. Inter racial babies?
How Margaret Sanger of him. Margaret Sanger a proud advocate of eugenics and founder of Planned Parenthood. She “of course was a racist . These are her words about the “negro project”:
“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population…..” Dec. 10, 1939
But this attitude can be found today. In 1980, Edward Allred, the founder of California’s largest chain of abortion clinics told the San Diego Union Tribune; “I’d set up a clinic in Mexico for free if I could. Maybe one in Calexico would help. The survival of our society could be at stake.”
Nixon, Sanger, Allred and racism are all part of the abortion debate. For too long too many have used abortion as a way to get at miniorities and people different from themselves. All life is precious regardless of color.
“Public” Option in Healthcare Means No Option.

President Obama and the Congress are running as fast as they can to nationalize the health insurance industry. There has been little focus on the high cost government health care can cost. It is more than money, it can be your life.
Just yesterday, the Senate Committee looking at the plan rejectedan anti-health care rationing amendment. See dead people are cheap to treat.
Sunday’s Pasadena Star-News ran a wonderful opinion piece ( by me)showing the costs of more life threatening bureaucracy being placed in charge of Life and death decisions.
What Would Herod Think?
Posted by Mike Spence in Uncategorized on June 15, 2009
People somewhat familiar with the Bible know the story of King Herod. King Herod was so afraid of the baby Jesus that he ordered all boys under two slaughtered.
In California and other parts of the world it is just the opposite. Science is being used to identify and the kill baby girls. To be honest, some culture value male children over female children and now has a way to make sure.
One study found a dramatic increase in the difference in boys and girls in second, third and fourth born children of Indian birth in California. He estimated a gender selective rate of around 10%.
We have our own slaughter going on right here. The target is little girls. What would Herod think?
