Death on the March – U.S. Becoming Ground Zero for Death Merchants
Posted by Brian in Uncategorized on May 5, 2009
Philip Nitschke is the founder of
Exit International, and through most of the
English-speaking world, is better known as Dr. Death than the American, Jack Kevorkian. And today he announced he is moving to the U.S.
An Australian M.D., Nitschke has campaigned for euthanasia legalization and had a hand in several euthanasia killings. The most notable was Nancy Crick, aged 69. On May 22, 2002, Crick, whom Nitschke had said, “suffered a decline in her standard of living due to complications in the treatment of bowel cancer.” After her death, it was revealed that Nancy Crick was not terminally ill at the time of her death.
He made headlines in New Zealand when he announced plans to accompany eight New Zealanders to Mexico and help them purchase the potentially life-ending drug Nembutal. He also made headlines, even angering some fellow right-to-die advocates, when he presented his plan to launch a “death ship” that would have allowed him to circumvent local laws by euthanising people from around the world in international waters.
Nitschke has endorsed assisted suicide for the non-terminal depressed, even if they are young.
With voluntary euthanasia legal in Washington, Oregon, and due to court order, possibly Montana, he sees the United States as fertile ground for his message.
