PRESIDENT
BUSH MAY SIGN EXECUTIVE ORDER PROMOTING STEM CELL RESEARCH
Washington, DC -- With the House of Representatives a day away from
a major battle on whether to force taxpayers to fund embryonic stem cell
research, advisors for President Bush say he is considering signing an
executive order promoting stem cell research
that doesn't involve the destruction of human life. The White House
Domestic Policy Council is slated to release a report today highlighting
the progress and benefits of non-embryonic stem cell research. The
report will highlight a new study from researchers at Wake Forest
University that found stem cells derived from amniotic fluid appear to
offer many of the same benefits of embryonic stem cells.

GROUP RELEASES NEW LIST OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD ABORTION DONORS
Washington, DC-- A
pro-life organization that monitors corporations that donate money to
Planned Parenthood has released a new list of companies that give money
to the nation's largest abortion business. New corporations on the
boycott list include jeweler Tiffany & Company and Blackjack Pizza
restaurants. Life
Decisions International has been monitoring companies for over 15 years
and says that at least 137 corporations have stopped funding Planned
Parenthood as a result of the pro-life boycotts. That's cost Planned
Parenthood an estimated $35 million. "This
should be a testament to those who believe it is impossible to change
corporate philanthropic behavior," LDI president Douglas Scott
said. Source:

AMNIOTIC
CELLS WILL IMPACT HOUSE DEBATE ON EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH
Washington, DC -- News that scientists have been able
to successfully manipulate stem cells found in amniotic fluid and that
they have similar potential to embryonic stem cells may affect the Congressional
debate on a bill to force taxpayers to fund embryonic stem cell
research. The House
is expected to vote Thursday on its version of the legislation. However,
the top two sponsors of the bill are denying both the potential of the
amniotic cells and the effect news about it may have on the debate.
