Christians’ Obligation to Civic Responsibility and to ensure the defenseless are protected by authorities

California, the nation’s most populous state, has more megachurches than any other state and one in five of its residents are evangelical Christians. But in 2016, only 13 percent of California voters were born-again Christians, compared to 26 percent nationwide. New York Times, May 27, 2018

“It is absolutely vital for you to vote this November to continue the momentum gained as new laws are introduced protecting people of faith, and as federal judges retire and are replaced. The right to vote in a free country is a gift from God. We must use the voice we have, or we risk losing it. Franklin Graham, May 2018

Abortion

Ps 139:13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Gen. 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Euthanasia / Assisted suicide

“Hold back those who are being drawn to death, and save those being taken to slaughter. If you say, “But we didn’t know about this,” won’t he who weighs hearts consider it? Won’t he who protects your life know?” Pr. 24:11

The State of California currently:

  • Funds abortion on demand
  • Underwrites abortion and its marketing via taxpayer dollars
  • Pays for human experiments on human embryos and embryo farms (Prop 71)
  • Approves the promotion and implementation of assisted suicide on the medically and emotionally vulnerable. (AB 282, 2018)
